# Fertilizer prices have soared again in the Stavropol Krai

Publication Date: 28.08.2019, 14:41

The closer the autumn the higher the prices.

This year, farmers and agricultural organizations of the Stavropol Krai need to purchase 210.1 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers (in terms of 100% of nutrients). As reported by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Stavropol Krai, they have purchased 190.1 thousand tons as of now, i.e. 90.5% of the demand.

The Ministry has also informed that the ammonium nitrate price in the region grew in August by 2.4% compared to the same month last year, amounting to 14.2 thousand rubles ($215.24) per 1 ton. Nitroammophoska rose in price by 1.4% to 20,890 rubles ($316.64), carbamide-ammonia mixture – by 4.8% to 11,440 rubles ($173.4), sulfoammophos – by 2.8% to 20,930 rubles ($317.25). At the same time ammophos fell by 7.5% to 29,680 rubles ($449.88) per 1 ton.

It is worth noting that this is not the first rise in mineral fertilizer prices in the Stavropol Krai: [the prices went up in July](https://www.fertilizerdaily.com/20190801-fertilizers-have…e-stavropol-krai/) as well.

The Nevinnomyssky Azot plant (part of EuroChem) is currently the only producer of mineral fertilizers in the Stavropol Krai.
