# Belarus increases agrochemical exports

International markets are more attractive than a domestic market.

During the nine months of 2019, the export of nitrogen fertilizers from Belarus to the world market increased by 5.7% to 232.9 thousand tons, of potash fertilizers – by 1.8% to almost 5 million tons, and of mixed fertilizers – by 6% to 764.8 thousand tons, according to the data of the National Statistical Committee of Belarus.

In monetary terms, nitrogen fertilizer exports grew by 6.7% to $ 133.1 million, potash fertilizer exports – by 15.3% to $ 2.25 billion, and that of mixed fertilizers – by 22.2% to 263.7 million dollars.

For comparison: 367 thousand tons of nitrogen fertilizers, 6.61 million tons of potash fertilizers and 940.7 thousand tons of mixed fertilizers were shipped from Belarus abroad last year.
