The country of ten thousand Gods wants to reduce the consumption of agrochemicals.

The Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers of India, Sadananda Gowda has emphasized the need to ensure food security to the country, whose population will grow from the current 1.3 billion people to 1.5 billion people in 2040.

Nevertheless, he called for reducing the use of mineral fertilizers in Indian agriculture by at least 10%, since their excessive use adversely affects soil fertility.

According to the Minister, it is necessary to develop and introduce new types of agrochemicals that will be more effective and safer than traditional types of mineral fertilizers.

Sadananda Govda mentioned the Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative, which created a line of nano fertilizers that not only ensure environmental cleanliness, but also reduce the amount of government subsidies for the sale of agrochemicals to farmers.
