# Socar interested in the Odessa Port Plant

The closer the privatization, the higher the attention.

On January 29, the Odessa Port Plant (Ukraine) was visited by Andriy Bogdan, the Head of Presidential Administration, Serhiy Ignatovskyi, Deputy Head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, and representatives of the Azerbaijani state company Socar, said Nikolay Shchurikov, Deputy Director of the plant, on his Facebook page.

The guests met with the managers of the Odessa Port Plant on behalf of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy and discussed possible involvement of Socar in the upcoming privatization of the plant. They also inspected the production capacity.

The Odessa Port Plant is one of the most powerful chemical enterprises in Ukraine; it can produce over 1 million tons of ammonia and 600 thousand tons of urea per year.
