Publication Date: 25.03.2020, 12:07

Something has dropped as much as something else has grown.

In January of this year, Russian chemical companies reduced the supply of nitrogen fertilizers to the world market by 0.2% (compared to the same period in 2019) to 994.9 thousand tons, as reported by the Federal Customs Service.

Exports of potash fertilizers outside Russia, on the contrary, increased by 112.8% to 114.2 thousand tons, and the sales of mixed fertilizers went up by 4.4% to 838.1 thousand tons in the first month of 2020.

In monetary terms, sales of nitrogen fertilizers fell by 12.3% to $ 201.8 million, mixed fertilizers sold less by 14.4% down to $ 27.5 million, while potash fertilizers sales grew by 106.5% to $ 27.5 million.
