# Potash fertilizer production in Russia has collapsed by 14.7%

The decline is significant.

In the first two months of this year, the production of mineral fertilizers in Russia decreased by 3.7% to 3.828 million tons, as reported by the Federal State Statistics Service.

Out of the total volume, the production of nitrogen fertilizers increased by 3.3% to 1.886 million tons, phosphorus fertilizer output grew by 1% to 696 thousand tons, while potash fertilizers fell by 14.7% to 1.246 million tons.

Ammonia production in January-February 2020 went up by 10.3% to 3.3 million tons.
