Finding overseas customers and export opportunities.

In the first two months of this year, exports of nitrogen fertilizers from Azerbaijan to the world market amounted to approximately 22,975 tons. In monetary terms, export deliveries reached about $ 3.611 million.

“At the same time, the share of fertilizers in total exports during the reporting period amounted to 0.11%, and to 1.22% in the structure of non-oil exports,” confirmed the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.

Last year, 114,351 tons of nitrogen fertilizers (carbamide and ammonium sulfate) with a total value of $ 18.340 million were sold outside Azerbaijan.

The only carbamide producer in Azerbaijan is a plant launched by Socar state corporation in January 2019. It can produce 600-650 thousand tons of carbamide per year. It is planned to ship 100-150 thousand tons to the domestic market of Azerbaijani and export the rest.
