Cherkasy Azot (part of Ostchem) increased the production of nitrogen fertilizers by 22% to 444.1 thousand tons in the 1st quarter of this year. The breakdown of the total volume produced by the type of fertilizer: 147.1 thousand tons of ammonium nitrate; 168.6 thousand tons of urea; 126.1 thousand tons of carbamide-ammonium mixture; 2.3 thousand tons of ammonium hydroxide (ammonia water); 216.3 thousand tons of ammonia and 168.9 thousand tons of non-concentrated nitric acid. “Since the beginning of the year, all capacities have been working at 100% workload. This made it possible to increase the production of nitrogen fertilizers. Compared to the corresponding period last year, urea production increased by 23%, carbamide-ammonium mixture – by 22%, ammonium nitrate – by 21%, ” said Vitaliy Sklyarov, Chairman of the Board of the enterprise.
