Each farm will get a mixing unit.

Tatarstan has built and put into operation 132 mixing units. They are used to increase the efficiency of leaf-feeding dressing and protective measures in the fields. Tatarstan plans to commission 29 more such stationary units in May.

“Now there’s no need to prove that typical mixing units can soften, deoxidize and heat the water used to prepare spray material. It’s increasing the efficiency of pesticides and fertilizers used,” said Ildus Gabdrakhmanov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan. “This is very important, as farmers of the republic spend about 3.5 billion rubles only on the purchase of chemical plant protection products.”

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan has set the task to create such mixing units in each farm with a land area over 500 hectares. It means that they plan to build more than 400 such facilities. Tatarstan implemented over 100 similar projects in 2019.
