# EuroChem acquires Fertilizantes Tocantins for $230 million

EuroChem has consolidated 100% of shares in Fertilizantes Tocantins (Brazil), acquiring 50%-1 of its share. According to EuroChem’s report, the deal valued approximately $230 million.

Previously, in 2016, EuroChem bought 50%+1 share in Fertilizantes Tocantins for just $103 million. The owner of Fertilizantes Tocantins Jose Eduardo Motta retained the remaining shares and continued serving as the company’s CEO.

Fertilizantes Tocantins is a leading fertilizer distribution company in Brazil. The company also owns a network of enterprises for mixing mineral fertilizers.
