The government will compensate for the suppliers' losses.

The Russian government reported that the rail transportation of complex fertilizers to the Far East at a reduced rate would be reimbursed from the state budget.

In April last year, the government decided to subsidize Russian Railways (RZD) to compensate for the losses in revenue, which appeared due to preferential rates for the grain transportation from some regions of Ural and Siberia. Later, In May 2020, Russian Railways received support to compensate for the reduced rates for the vegetables and mineral fertilizers transportation to the Far East.

Previously, the Russian government approved the subsidies of a group of fertilizers which consisted of potassium and phosphorus fertilizers. The new rules provide support for other mineral fertilizers, including complex fertilizers.

The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia suggested to include complex mineral fertilizers in the list of goods, the rail transportation of which to the Far East at preferential tariffs is compensated from the budget.
