Chairman of the Board of Directors of Uralchem Dmitry Mazepin and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Uralkali visited Khartoum, where they had a meeting with the Vice President of Sudan Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo and Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok. The main purpose of the working visit became the business expansion on the African continent. Uralchem and Uralkali, at the highest level, discussed the possibilities, approaches and mechanisms of cooperation regarding the supply of their products to Sudan, tax incentives and relations between the countries. “Sudan manages large areas of land and is interested in agriculture developing and attracting foreign investors. Uralchem will show by its own example that our country is ready and open for long-term cooperation with Russia. The new government will do everything possible for this,” noted Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo. “For the past ten years, Sudan was in a difficult situation. Now the country’s leadership and the new government are aimed at reviving the economy. We believe that Sudan may become the very site in Eastern Africa, where we can greatly increase our position as fertilizer sellers. Uralchem ​​and Uralkali will, in every possible way, contribute to the development of mutually beneficial and friendly relations between Russia and Sudan. We plan to start the export of fertilizers to the country as early as 2021,” said Dmitry Mazepin. For several years, the companies have been basic partners of African countries both in terms of technology and product export. Uralchem and Uralkali have established uninterrupted supplies of products to Zimbabwe, Zambia, Kenya, Angola, and Mozambique.
