The investor was not interested in agriculture before.

The Balcom Japanese company has paid $10 million for minority shareholdings of the Ifoda Agro Kimyo Himoya company (Uzbekistan).

Ifoda Agro Kimyo Himoya produces crop protection agents and compound fertilizers. The output of its products is about 100 thousand tons per year. The company’s sales volume reaches approximately $20.2 million.

Money received from the sale of minority shareholdings Ifoda Agro Kimyo Himoya will spend on business and export development.

Previously, Balcom wasn’t seen to be interested in agriculture. The company currently manages assets in the hotel business and the car industry.
