# KuibyshevAzot suffered from pandemic and crisis

The past year brought very poor results.

In 2020, the revenue of KuibyshevAzot (Samara region, Togliatti) declined by 13% to 46.9 billion rubles (approximately $636.8 million) and net profit fell by 17% to 3.3 billion rubles (approx. $44.8 million). Such poor financial results happened due to the COVID-19 pandemic and global economic crisis, which led to a drop in demand for KuibyshevAzot products.

KuibyshevAzot’s production of carbamide last year declined by 10.1% to 329.9 thousand tons, ammonia sulfate by 12.4%, ammonia by 3.4% to 1.048 million tons, while the output of ammonium nitrate increased by 7.2% to 721 thousand tons and carbamide-ammoniac compound by 142.2% to 239 thousand tons.
