The Middle Volga Department of Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service (Rostechnadzor) inspected the production of weak nitric acid at the KuibyshevAzot plant (Samara region, Togliatti).

The inspection revealed 33 violations of mandatory industrial safety requirements. The facts of operation of certain equipment with an expired safe operation period and some equipment with an untimely certification have been established.

Violations of industrial safety requirements identified during the inspection entail a threat to human life and health. As a result of the accident, the seven employees of the workshop may be injured. The Middle Volga Department of Rostechnadzor sent the materials of the case to the court, demanding to suspend the operation of the weak nitric acid production at KuibyshevAzot.
