# EuroChem found effective defense against field mice

It's quite an unconventional approach.

Specialists of the Belorechensk Mineral Fertilizer company (part of EuroChem) suggested using phosphogypsum to protect fields from mice.

During the experiments conducted together with the Kuban State Agrarian University, they found out that the use of phosphogypsum not only improves the condition of salted soils but also reduces the mice population.

This happens due to phosphogypsum acidifies soils and contains up to 30% of slightly soluble sulfur.
