The by-product should be used if possible.

Michurinsk State Agrarian University (Tambov region) and the Biokhim company signed the new cooperation agreement, which allows continuing research on testing molasses distillery stillage.

Biokhim produces alcohol from molasses, while stillage is a by-product of its production. However, it can be used as an organic fertilizer, therefore Biokhim is conducting joint research with Michurinsk State Agrarian University.

Molasses distillery stillage was already tested on vegetables and potatoes. This year, research will be conducted on berry crops.
