Crop yields will be increased by 10-20%.

According to the statement of the Ministry of Agriculture of Cuba, this year, Cuba intends to increase the production of biological products by 23%. In this case, Cuba will be able to fertilize 690 thousand hectares of crops, which is 100 thousand hectares more than last year. Totally it’s planned to produce 6.25 thousand kiloliters of biological products.

The application of biological products will partially replace mineral fertilizers and pesticides, on the import of which Cuba spends a significant part of foreign currency.

As follows from the report of the Cuban Ministry of Agriculture, the implementation of such a strategy will make an important contribution to the protection of the environment, as well as increase crop yields by 10-20%.
