# Minbos Resources pushes forward its Angola project

Phosphorites will be extracted from the ground.

The Australian Minbos Resources and the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Hydrocarbons of Angola have signed an agreement on the terms of investment in the Cabinda project. Minbos Resources was obliged to prepare a feasibility study for the Cabinda project and develop the extraction of phosphorites.

Earlier, the company selected a contractor who will design the mining enterprise and all related infrastructure.

The Cabinda project provides for establishing the extraction and enrichment of phosphorites from the Cacata, Mongo Tando, Chivovo and Chibuete deposits, which are parts of a large basin located in Angola and Congo. Their total reserves amount to 391.3 million tons of phosphorites with an average content of phosphorus pentoxide of 9.2%.
