State Duma Deputies will soon consider draft legislation that excludes organic fertilizers, such as peat, dung and manure, from the list of agrochemicals. Complex fertilizers will be excluded as well. Therefore, they will not have to pass mandatory state registration. “Thus, agrochemical companies won’t be obliged to conduct costly registration tests, including registration of complex fertilizers registered in the prescribed manner,” the explaining note says. Besides, the draft legislation specifies that only a manufacturer, developer or an authorized person will be able to apply for registration of pesticides and agrochemicals. This will make the fertilizer registration process more transparent and reduce the number of counterfeit products on the agricultural market.
