Publication Date: 25.06.2021, 20:00

The market conjuncture brought optimism to the company's plans.

Canadian fertilizer producer Nutrien reconsidered its production plan for 2021. Nutrien intends to increase the production of potassium chloride by 0.5 million tons, in addition to the previously announced 0.5 million tons. Thus, by the end of the current year, Nutrien will increase the production of potassium chloride by a million tons.

Based on the updated information, Nutrien’s forecast for potassium chloride sales in 2021 is 13.3-13.8 million tons against 13 million tons sold in 2018.

“As we continue to strengthen the company’s position in the global crop feedstock market, we will expand potassium chloride production by a million tons,” said Mayo Schmidt, President and CEO of Nutrien.
