The Australian Kore Potash has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Summit Africa, which represents a consortium of investors, aimed at financing its Kola potash project in Congo. It reserves 508 million tons of salts with content of potassium chloride of 35.4%.

Several interesting potash deposits, which may be of volcanic-sedimentary origin, have been found in Congo. Among them are Dougou and Kola, which are distinguished by alternating layers of sylvinite, carnallite and salt rock, occurring at depths of 200 to 600 meters. Taking into account their geological features and the potential demand for potassium fertilizers in the global market, these deposits are promising projects for development.
