# Arianne Phosphate took an important step in its Lac a Paul project

Canadian producer Arianne Phosphate, implementing Lac a Paul project, has become a partner of the Center for geomatics of Quebec (Cégep de Chicoutimi) that will design and monitor the tailing dump.

Within the framework of the Lac a Paul project, an open pit, a processing plant, a tailing dump, and other necessary facilities will be created. It’s planned to produce 3 million tons of apatite concentrate per year for subsequent export supplies. About 1000 jobs will be created there.

“Lac a Paul will become one of the most ecologically friendly phosphate mining enterprises in the world,” said Jean-Sébastien David, Managing Director Operations of Arianne Phosphate.

The management of Arianne Phosphate believes that the project has great prospects due to the EU’s restrictions on the content of cadmium in phosphorus fertilizers since Europe is the expected consumer of Arianne Phosphate’s apatite concentrate.
