# Cherkasy Azot completed repairs of its largest ammonia workshop

The overhaul lasted for a month.

Cherkasy Azot (part of Group DF) has completed the repairs in the ammonia A-5 workshop. The unit has already reached the designed capacity.

“We completed the overhaul of the A-5 workshop for the production of ammonia, which lasted for a month. The main task was to restore the resource of technological equipment, increase the energy efficiency of production, improve consumption indicators and reduce the cost of finished products. High-quality modernization of the workshop is the key to the successful operation of the enterprise as a whole since ammonia is a raw material for the further production of such fertilizers like ammonium nitrate, carbamide, and carbamide-ammoniac compound,” said Vitaly Sklyarov, Chairman of the Board of Cherkasy Azot.

The plant has two ammonia workshops — A-3 and A-5 with a capacity of 1.2 and 1.7 thousand tons of ammonia per day, respectively.
