Sales are good in the Middle East.

In the January-June period of 2021, Russia exported over 30 million tons of agricultural products worth $15 billion, which is $2.3 billion or 18% more compared to the same period last year.

At the same time, shipments of grain crops slightly decreased in physical terms and amounted to 17.2 million tons (-1.2% compared to the same period in 2020), export earnings from them increased by 19% to $4.3 billion.

The leading buyers of Russian grain are Turkey and Egypt, which together accounted for a third of all shipments. Over 3.3 million tons of grain worth $814 million were exported to Turkey and 2.4 million tons worth $633 million to Egypt.

Saudi Arabia took third place importing from Russia 710 thousand tons of grain worth $160 million, the press-service of Agroexport reported.
