# Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers develops export to Europe

The truck is a worthy alternative to the railroad.

Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers (part of Uralchem) has launched a project to organize direct supplies of mineral fertilizers to European countries by trucks. With the new shipment method, the delivery time to foreign consumers was reduced by 2.5-3 weeks.

The pilot project is being implemented by Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers together with the Uralchem trading house. 10 trucks with water-soluble monoammonium phosphate were shipped to Polish customers. The geography of supplies will soon be expanded to several more countries: Netherlands, Poland, and Romania.  

Over 90% of monoammonium phosphate 12-61 produced by Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers is exported. In 2020, the main importers of these products were Brazil, Israel, and Italy.

“With the new delivery system, the company saves $20 from each ton shipped to the client,” said Oleg Smirnov, Head of the Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers Sales Department. “Besides, the new scheme significantly reduces the delivery time and eliminates the stages of reloading. If earlier fertilizers were sent by wagons to the warehouse, after which they were reloaded into a car, then now the goods come to clients as they were originally loaded and packaged at the enterprise without any defects associated with transportation. All these factors have a beneficial effect on the consumers’ attitude towards Uralchem’s products and help to get stable demand and a loyal customer base.”
