# US imposed sanctions against Belaruskali

They will be in force in less than four months.

Treasury Department of the US has published a document which says that all partners of Belaruskali must suspend their business relations with the company by December 8 this year.

As follows from the document, new contracts to purchase potassium chloride from Belaruskali cannot be concluded. After December 8, the US companies will be prohibited from doing business with Belaruskali, and the enterprise’s assets in the US will be frozen.

Earlier, European Union imposed sanctions against Bealruskali.

Belaruskali is the only producer of potassium chloride in Belarus, shipping its products all over the world. Among the company’s major clients is the Norwegian Yara International.
