Experimental trenches and pits have been dug.

The Australian Trigg Mining has completed trenching and the experimental brine pumping program for its Lake Throssell project. It was conducted to evaluate the properties of the brine-containing level, which will be used to obtain potassium sulfate. During the implementation of the program, the company dug two trenches with a length of 100m each and seven test pits.

In April this year, Trigg Mining summed up the results of exploration works at Lake Throssell. Trigg Mining intends to organize the processing of potassium salts to obtain potassium sulfate, which is used in the cultivation of vegetables, fruits, tea, coffee, and tobacco.

At present, Australia depends on imports of potassium fertilizers in a volume of 250 thousand tons per year.
