The project budget was revised.

Acron Group announced the start of the construction of the Talitsky potash GOK (Perm region). The investments for 2021 and 2022 have been increased from $60 to $222 million.

At the site of the Talitsky GOK, the company is currently carrying out the reinforcement and arrangement of vertical mine shafts, completing work on the laying of a highway, and has begun the construction of an electrical substation.

Besides, tenders are being held to find suppliers of main equipment and contractors for the construction of the mine facilities, surface facilities, and external infrastructure facilities.

“In the current situation, we see prerequisites for the intensification of construction works to receive the first products in 2025,” noted Alexander Popov, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Acron Group. “Before the acute phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, we managed to complete the drilling of vertical shafts, therefore reducing the risk profile of the project. Now we can conduct construction simultaneously underground and on the surface.”

According to the statement of Alexander Popov, the budget was revised. The remaining investments are estimated at $1.3 billion, including about $700 thousand before receiving the first product.

Besides, all technical and design solutions used during construction open the possibility to expand the capacity of Talitsky GOK from 2 to 2.6 million tons of potassium chloride per year.
