# The Ministry of Transport intends to withdraw land from Togliattiazot

The land is needed to build a bypass.

On September 21, 2021, the Commercial Court of the Samara region held a hearing on the claim of the Ministry of Transport and Highways of the Samara region against the Togliattiazot plant.

As follows from the case files, the Ministry of Transport and Highways of the Samara region intends to seize the land necessary for the creation of a bypass around the city of Togliatti with a bridge over the Volga river as part of the Europe-Western China transport corridor project.

According to the statement of the Russian Ministry of Transport, the Europe-Western China Expressway will have a length of 8.5 thousand kilometers. Delivery of goods along this route will take about 10 days.

Togliattiazot is one of the world’s largest producers of ammonia.
