# Highfield Resources has signed a new port to improve its logistics

The Muga project will have two ports for export.

The Australian company Highfield Resources, within the framework of the implementation of its potash project Muga (Spain), signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Bilbao port administration. The terms of the agreement are corresponding to the previously signed document with the Pasaia port administration.

Within the framework of the signed memorandum, the port of Bilbao will transship up to 700 thousand tons of potassium chloride and rock salt from the Muga project, just the same as the port of Pasaia.

Both ports are of key importance for the implementation of the Muga project since they have all the necessary infrastructure and equipment for the stable transshipment of potassium chloride and rock salt for export.

The port of Bilbao is located 220 km away from the Muga project. It can handle up to 35.5 million tons of cargo per year.
