Experiments are in full swing.

The Dutch company SusPhos is experimenting with wastewater to produce phosphoric acid.

The essence of SusPhos’ technology is as follows: the sludge is dried and burned, then its ash is treated with a special solvent to form phosphoric acid and aluminum, iron, and heavy metal salts.

As SusPhos specialists claim, their patented organic solvent and extraction process produces high-quality phosphoric acid and removes over 95% of heavy metals.

In October, SusPhos plans to start a pilot project to produce 4 thousand tons of phosphoric acid per year and to build an enterprise for its production in the volume of 50 thousand tons per year in the future.
