Several units have been replaced.

Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers (part of Uralchem) has completed the shutdown repairs of the wet-process phosphoric acid workshop No. 3. The overhaul lasted 25 days, after which the workshop was again included in the production process.

One of the most important tasks of the repair campaign was the technical re-equipment of the vacuum evaporation system No. 2. These units play an important role in the production of phosphoric acid, which is one of the main components of fertilizers. Vacuum evaporation units are designed to increase the concentration of phosphoric acid.

“The shutdown repairs have been successfully carried out, all the planned activities were completed on time,” said Sergey Maslyukov, the Head of the wet-process phosphoric acid workshop No. 3. “The workshop has resumed its operation. Vacuum evaporation units No. 1 and No. 4 operate normally. Vacuum evaporation unit No. 2 has been also introduced into the technological process, even though the works at the site have not been fully completed. The overhaul of the zero mark and the 6 meters mark also continues. It’s aimed at eliminating the possibility of harmful substances entering the environment, even in case of emergency. The corresponding repairs are planned to be fully completed by the end of 2021.”
