# Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers has received an integrated environmental permit

The enterprise reduces its burden on the environment.

Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers (part of Uralchem) has become the first company among fertilizer producers to receive an integrated environmental permit (IEP). The document was issued on November 23, 2021, by the Federal Natural Resources Agency of Russia (Rosprirodnadzor). This happened three years ahead of the time set by Russian law.

In the next 7 years Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers will follow this document that establishes standards for emissions and discharges of pollutants and limits the waste of disposals. IEP confirms that production processes at the enterprise comply with the information and technical guide, which provides for the use of the best available technologies.

In 2017-2020, Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers modernized the sulfuric acid production, worth over 730 million rubles (about $9.7 million), conducted technical re-equipment of the ammophos production capacities, increased energy efficiency, and the reliability of automated control systems. During the next four years, the enterprise plans to introduce a system of automatic control of emissions and discharges of pollutants.
