# Kazakhstan increased the production of mineral fertilizers

Publication Date: 09.12.2021, 20:00

Domestic demand and exports supported the production.

Bureau of National Statistics of Kazakhstan reports that during the ten months of 2021, Kazakhstan increased the production of nitrogen fertilizers by 15.1% to 371.3 thousand tons, phosphorus fertilizers by 3.5% to 166.1 thousand tons.

In October 2021, the production of nitrogen fertilizers in Kazakhstan increased by 4.6 times (compared to the same period in 2020) to 40 thousand tons, phosphorus fertilizers by 3% to 17.2 thousand tons.

Such positive results became possible due to the expansion of purchases of mineral fertilizers by agricultural enterprises and farmers in Kazakhstan and the rise in exports to Ukraine.

Currently, the main producers of mineral fertilizers in Kazakhstan are Kazphosphate and KazAzot.
