# Uralkali expands its operations in Brazil

The company strengthens its position.

Uralkali has acquired 100% of Upi Norte – a shareholder in FertGrow, a leading distributor of mineral fertilizers in Brazil.

The asset was purchased as part of Uralkali’s business strategy, aimed at ensuring sales flexibility and developing the company’s own distribution network in key markets.

“Uralkali is focused on the development of its logistics infrastructure to ensure regular supplies around the world. Brazil is one of the largest consumers of mineral fertilizers, and the acquisition of a stake in FertGrow will help significantly optimize Uralkali’s operations in Latin America,” said Alexander Terletsky, General Director of Uralkali Trading (part of Uralkali).
