# Togliattiazot set two production records in 2021

A combination of several factors contributed.

In 2021, the Togliattiazot plant (Samara region) set two records for the production of ammonia and carbamide. Ammonia output amounted to 3.051 million tons (in 2020 — 3.041 million tons), which is the strongest result in the entire history of the enterprise.

Carbamide production last year was 913 thousand tons (839 thousand tons in 2020). It was better only in 1990 at the level of 915 thousand tons.

Such results became possible due to several factors. Togliattiazot implemented measures to stabilize the operation of ammonia and carbamide units and reduced the time for scheduled preventive repairs. The advanced training of all services related to the production and sale of finished products also contributed.

“Togliattiazot is a dynamically developing company and is constantly increasing the production of ammonia and carbamide. In 2022, the company plans to implement several significant projects for the overhaul and modernization of equipment, as well as the launch of the third carbamide unit. All these activities allow us to predict the achievement of new production records next year as well,” said Anatoly Shablinsky, General Director of Togliattiazot.
