Deliveries are expected in April.

Farmers of the Trans-Baikal have begun the purchase of mineral fertilizers with their supply in April. The Ministry of Agriculture of the region expects 70 agricultural enterprises to buy mineral fertilizers by the beginning of spring field works.

The Ministry reports that last year, farmers of the region applied 25% more mineral fertilizers than in 2020.

“The farms of the regions received 163 thousand tons of grain crops last year. Works to improve soil fertility helped to achieve high yields. Mineral fertilizers were applied on an area of 67.9 thousand hectares, while in 2020 this figure was 49.2 thousand hectares,” said the Minister of Agriculture of the Trans-Baikal region, Denis Bochkarev.
