As the Minister of Agriculture of Russia Dmitry Patrushev reports, this year, Russia plans to begin spring sowing earlier than the long-term average annual date. According to his statement, it’s planned to increase the cultivated areas for main crops, namely, sugar beets, vegetables, and grain crops. As of today, farmers are provided with seeds of more than 95%, which is at the level of last year. The situation on the market of mineral fertilizers is gradually normalizing. By the beginning of February, farmers purchased more than 500 thousand tons, which corresponds to the level of 2021. The accumulated resources, taking into account the balances, are almost 270 thousand tons more than last year.
