The state-owned company Ukrzaliznytsia suspends the transit of potassium chloride produced by Belaruskali through the territory of Ukraine due to sanctions imposed against the plant by the United States. This decision will affect the transit rail transportation of potassium chloride from Belarus to Slovakia, Hungary, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, the CIS and Baltic countries, not including its import for sale on the Ukrainian market. Earlier, the Lithuanian authorities banned the transportation of potassium chloride by rail to the port of Klaipeda, thus leading to an economic war with Belarus.
