# Moscow agriculture is purchasing fertilizers for the spring sowing campaign

The demand of 96.4 thousand tons is met by 45%.

Agricultural enterprises and farmers of the Moscow region are preparing for spring fieldwork, the start of which is scheduled for the first ten days of April. This year, the area of spring crops should grow by 15.4 thousand hectares to 234.9 thousand hectares, the press-service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Moscow region reported.

Farmers are currently carrying out technical inspections of agricultural equipment and estimating its readiness for the spring field season.

Reserves of mineral fertilizers are being created as well. The agriculture of the Moscow region needs 96.4 thousand tons of fertilizers for spring fieldwork. 16.3 thousand tons have already been purchased and 27 thousand tons have been contracted. Taking into account the contracted volumes the demand is fulfilled by 45%.
