# Kropz received the first batch of phosphate rock concentrate

The project schedule was met.

The South African company Kropz received a pilot batch of phosphate rock concentrate from the Elandsfontein phosphorite deposit. The deposit is being developed in the tough conditions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, Kropz managed to maintain the schedule and build a plant for the extraction and processing of phosphorites. The enterprise should reach the designed capacity by 4Q2022.

In the summer of 2018, Kropz agreed the supply of phosphate rock concentrate with Foskor, the only vertically-integrated producer of phosphoric acid and fertilizers in South Africa. The agreement says that Foskor’s purchases should account for about a third of Elandsfontein’s phosphate rock production. The export is planned to be carried out through the ports of Saldanha and Cape Town.
