While completing preparations for spring fieldwork, farmers in the Orenburg region faced an unexpected problem — they’re running out of ammonium nitrate (at the same time, demand for complex fertilizers is met in full). According to the statement of the Ministry of Agriculture, Trade, Food and Processing Industry of the Orenburg region, out of approximately 3.5 thousand tons of ammonium nitrate required by the regional quota, SDS Azot shipped only 639 tons. The necessary volume is ready to be supplied to the farmers of the Orenburg region by the Meleuz Mineral Fertilizers enterprise but only after the completion of priority shipments in Bashkortostan and at a price of 10 thousand rubles (approximately $100) above the March average.
