Publication Date: 14.04.2022, 16:00

Fertilizer supplies are steady and according to the schedule.

Farmers of the Saratov region have started spring fieldwork: they are harrowing the soil and feeding winter crops.

As of today, harrowing and top dressing of winter crops have been carried out on an area of over 1 thousand hectares and 26 thousand hectares, respectively.

“Taking into account the volumes of mineral fertilizers purchased last fall, there are already 124 thousand tons that have been prepared for spring fieldwork. Or 122% of the level of last year, including 85 thousand tons of nitrogen fertilizers. The delivery of 64.2 thousand tons has been contracted for April. The supply of mineral fertilizers is within the schedule of shipments,” said Roman Kovalsky, Minister of Agriculture of the Saratov region.
