Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree expanding the current mineral fertilizer export quotas. The quota for the export of complex fertilizers from Russia was expanded by 501 thousand tons and amounts to almost 6.1 million tons. It will be valid until the end of May this year. In November 2021, the Russian Government approved quotas for the export of nitrogen and complex fertilizers of 5.9 and 5.35 million tons, respectively. In April this year, they were changed to 5.7 million tons of nitrogen fertilizers and 5.6 million tons of complex fertilizers. Russian Fertilizer Producers Association (RFPA) reported that by mid-April, the need of domestic farmers for mineral fertilizers was satisfied by 60% of the volume planned for 2022.
