Publication Date: 08.06.2022, 18:00

The measure proved to be very effective.

The Government Commission on agro-industrial complex and sustainable development of rural areas, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Viktoria Abramchenko, supported the extension of quotas for the export of mineral fertilizers until the end of May next year.

“We recognize the state measures to curb the rise in prices for mineral fertilizers as effective and support their extension until May 31, 2023,” the press-service of the Commission said.

Quotas for the export of mineral fertilizers from Russia were introduced in 2021 and were valid until the end of May 2022. Then they were extended from July 1 to December 31, 2022.

Also by July 20, 2022, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, together with the authorities of the agro-industrial complex of the regions, were instructed to develop approaches to trigger an increase in the volume of applied mineral fertilizers.
