Employees will soon be returned from idle time.

The Lifosa plant (Lithuania) plans to return 80% of its employees from forced downtime by mid-September this year.

“On July 27, we expect to involve part of the workers from idle time for scheduled repair work, and return up to 80% of the staff by mid-September,” said Regvita Ivanovienė, acting CEO of Lifosa.

On August 7, the enterprise should start working after a forced shutdown in April. As expected, production will be loaded at 70%.

In March, European Union authorities imposed sanctions against Andrey Melnichenko, the owner of EuroChem, which owns Lifosa. After that, the accounts of Lifosa were blocked and the plant was forced to stop.

Later, the Ministry of Finance of Lithuania allowed Lifosa to resume work under supervision. Then there was information about the restart of Lifosa in June and the withdrawal of 240 employees from forced downtime.

Lifosa produces phosphoric acid, diammonium phosphate and monoammonium phosphate.
