Publication Date: 24.10.2022, 16:00

The first ship has already left.

The commercial seaport of Makhachkala (Dagestan) has started the transshipment of mineral fertilizers supplied to Iran. The first ship with them has already departed there.

“The weight of the export cargo on board is over 3 thousand tons. Transshipment of potassium chloride was carried out at the terminals of the dry cargo harbor. About 8 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers will be shipped to Iranian importers soon,” said Rustam Kerimov, General Director of the seaport of Makhachkala.

According to his statement, by the end of 2022, the commercial seaport of Makhachkala expects to significantly increase the volume of transshipment. But the limiting factor in the growth of cargo turnover today is the lack of vessels.
