Officially, there are no sanctions but they still exist.

The sanctions imposed against Russia led to a reduction in the supply of mineral fertilizers to the world market by 38% during the March-September period of 2022, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Vershinin said.

According to his statement, the authorities of the United States and the European Union promised to exclude mineral fertilizers from sanctions, while in reality, producers and suppliers face bans on bank payments, insurance, and freight of ships.

As a result, importing countries didn’t receive up to 8 million tons of mineral fertilizers from Russia, which is enough to produce 25 million tons of food to feed 105 million people.
