Future agronomists will expand their knowledge.

PhosAgro opened an educational center at the Ural State Agrarian University (hereinafter referred to as USAU). The opening ceremony was attended by Nina Ivanova, Director of the Department of Science and Technology Policy and Education of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, Alexei Shmykov, First Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk region, Anna Kuznetsova, Acting Minister of Agro-Industrial Complex and Food of the Sverdlovsk region, Olga Loretts, Rector of USAU, and Director of Marketing and Development PhosAgro Mikhail Sterkin.

“For two years now, the company has been implementing the “From Ore to Food” program in the leading agricultural universities of the country, which includes more than 100 lectures. It was first introduced at the Timiryazev Agricultural Academy. Today we are opening the tenth PhosAgro educational center. I’m sure that the new audience will increase students’ interest in agriculture and provide this industry with highly qualified personnel in the future,” Mikhail Sterkin said in his welcoming speech.

The educational center is a multifunctional auditorium equipped with modern computers and multimedia facilities. Students have at their disposal educational materials, visual aids and samples of mineral fertilizers. Lectures and practical classes will be regularly held at the center for students and graduate students, and teachers and farmers will be able to take refresher courses. Representatives of Russian science, business and public authorities will act as teachers.

“Network interaction with manufacturers, communication of students with representatives of production will give great advantages in practice-oriented learning. Cooperation with PhosAgro will allow students to acquire new competencies and teachers to improve their skills. The educational center will become a point of growth in the field of agricultural technologies. I thank the company for a beautiful class! We will try to justify the trust placed in us,” Olga Loretts emphasized.
